The body as a whole

The body – is a unified whole, in which the structure and function of cells, tissues, organs and organ systems are interconnected. Changes in metabolism and function of every cell, tissue, organ and organ systems causes changes in metabolism of other cells, tissues, organs and organ systems. Therefore, the metabolism and function of cells, tissues and organs, isolated from an organism different from occurring in the body. Therefore, the immediate passage of the laws of isolated parts of the body for the whole body is not allowed. Whole body peculiar features not found in isolated parts, such as reproduction, resulting in the formation of new organisms, behavior, thinking.

The unity of function and form

Life is simple and highly organized organisms, people and animals can only be subject to the availability of substances from the external environment. The highly organized animal organisms, these substances enter through the respiratory and digestive system, they move from the blood and then it is delivered to all organs and tissues, which is made and metabolism and their use.

The activities of the body and organs without consuming matter impossible.
Metabolism essentially depends on the conditions of life, organ function and behavior of the organism. It defines the activities and structure, the shape of the whole body and its organs. The functions and structure of the body are inextricably linked, they are mutually dependent on each other. But the unity of function and form function plays a leading role, as metabolism is directly determined. Function and form of the body – the result of its historical and individual development. The function changes relatively quickly, but the structure of the body – much slower.
