Intracardiac pressure

In humans during systole pressure in the atria of 5-8 mm Hg. st., in the left ventricle of 130-150 mm Hg. v., in the right ventricular pressure is less than the left, 2.5-3 times.
Horses and cattle during systole pressure in the atria – 10-30 mm Hg. st., in the left ventricle – 180-200 mm Hg, p., and in the right ventricle – 70 mmHg. Art.

At each systole the right and left ventricles emit the same amount of blood. The amount of blood ejected with one of the ventricles during one systole, is referred to as systolic volume, and in one minute – as a volume per minute.
Cardiac output – is the product of stroke volume to heart rate per minute.

Systolic volume in man alone is 60-70 cm3 of blood in trained person alone – 100-120 cm3. Minute volume is an indication of the work performed by the heart, and he alone is 3,5-5 dm3. With age in healthy individuals, cardiac output decreases gradually.

Minute volume increases during muscular work and hyperthermia.
It should be taken into account that in fact every time your contractions of the heart ejects more blood than is taken into account in the determination of cardiac output. Part of blood ejected into the aorta goes into coronary vessels and into the right atrium.
